The Pintsch Bubenzer SFR is a hydraulically released safety brake with a contact pressure of 35 to 125kN per half of the tongs. These brakes are particularly suited as rotor brakes in wind turbines due to the high capacity of the brakes. Other applications in material handling that require power and compact design in either direction of rotation is possible, including but not limited to hoisting and conveyor belts. The use of the SFR Brake for applications with high duty cycles should be specifically indicated during the technical selection procedure.

- Mono-spring calliper brake, ready to operate, with spring pack set to nominal force,
- Easy, manual pad wear compensation, and
- Support for direct gear box mounting
