Module 2: Overview of PCs with Keyboard & Typing Skills (2-days)

Description

Students will learn the basic skills necessary to operate a personal computer, as well as start touch typing. The blended learning method, combining PC Overview and Typing Skills makes this a powerful entry level course.During this workshop delegates will create their own CV, using MS Word.

Benefits

Students will gain the basic skills required to use a computer, blended with keyboard and typing skills. The typing software will be given to each student on CD, for their continuous improvement. The skills transfer that takes place is great for building confidence and often opens the door to learning for the student.

Module 3: Basic Personal Finance (1-day)

Description

This workshop provides a basic understanding of the importance of managing your personal finance, how your attitude affects your money, how to do monthly personal budgets, set personal goals and ways to achieve these goals.

Upon successful completion the delegate will be able to:

  •  Understand the importance of managing their personal finances
  •  Understand how their attitude can affect their personal finance
  •  Understand basic budgeting for day to day living
  •  Set personal goals to be able to pay monthly bills.

Module 4: Business Etiquette & Preparing for Behaviour Based Interview (1-day)

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Practice office protocol.
  • Use the Internet appropriately, resolve ethical dilemmas, and resolve personal issues in the workplace.
  • Use business etiquette in introductions, conversations, interviews and meetings.
  • Use business etiquette in using the phone, e-mail, and written communications.
  • Use business etiquette at business functions.
  • Use basic personal hygiene
